Gabby is a blurter, she just can’t stop herself, mouth disconnects to brain and out it comes. Alfie is the nicest kid in the school; cringe-making, toe-curling embarrassingly nice. Dad is a writer looking for his first big break and Mum, well, she’s really useful, to everyone, but her family.
When Dad ups and leaves one day over yet another missed dinner, Mum takes over with disastrous and hilarious consequences, until finally it gets so bad that Gabby doesn’t think that life could get any worse. She can think again. It does. When cats begin to go mysteriously missing and the Cat Lady gets her claws into Dad, Gabby and Alfie have to find a way out of the mess. Will they? Or will Gabby blurt once too often to save the day.
